Welcome to Walk Mill!

Walk Mill is open to the public to come and look at the mill equipment and see how it works. There is also the miller's kitchen where you can come and enjoy some delicious home baked goods; many produced using the flour stone ground in the mill, which is produced from the wheat grown on the land surrounding the mill.

Walk Mill has been built on the site of the original mill which dates back to 1200. The tiles on the floor in the miller's kitchen and mill area are from the original mill, as well as the sack hoist outside the building and the damsel. A date stone which is engraved with RW 1668 was also found which now sits above the fire place in the millers kitchen. The fireplace is made from hand-made bricks which were found beneath the quarry tiles when we took them up.

On sale at the mill there is stone ground flour, bread and cakes.

The mill is open every day (10am to 5pm), except Monday's when it is closed, (open on bank holidays).

Nearby attractions include the Crocky Trail and Cheshire Ice cream farm.
